Uses: Culinary and Aromatic, can be used fresh or dried. (research all plants before use)
Summer Savory has a peppery scent and taste. It is milder tasting than Winter Savory. It is similar to marjoram and thyme in flavor. The herb can be used in meat dishes, herb butters, teas, flavored vinegar, and stuffing. In the summer the plant has pale pink flowers. Plants are grown in 2.5” pots. All vegetable and herb plants are grown using organic methods.
Plants are available for local delivery or pick up at Rooted For Good Kirkland (formerly Walnut Grove Vocational Farm) located at 33600 Pearl Street Kirkland, IL 60146. Plants will be ready in May for pick up or delivery.
