The meaty, pink, 4 to 8 ounce, beefsteak fruit have indigo-blushed highlights where the fruit is exposed to the sun. The fruit of this unusual variety contains high levels of anthocyanin, a naturally occurring antioxidant found in blueberries, and is reported to combat disease. Crack resistant. Selection from a cross between Beauty King and a blue tomato. For the best flavor and texture, harvest when the colors have deepened and the fruit is soft to the touch.
Plants are grown in 2.5” pots. All vegetable and herb plants are grown using organic methods and will be ready in May.
